To Avyukt and Advay …… as they go off to school

Avyukt and Advay, the two little four year olds finally go to their “big school”.  After 2 years at the Magic Years, they were clearly not very happy to go any where else, big or not.  But then they had to start at the new school, The Heritage School in Gurgaon.

As you go into the new school, dear Avyukt and Advay, please remember that

• you are unique and so be who you are, please don’t try to be different. Be proud of who you are.  There will always be children who can do things that you cannot but remember there are things that you can do that others cannot 
• you be happy and that is the most important thing in your life, now and later.  Remember, you will need to be happy by yourself and not depend on others to make you happy.  Learn to be happy by yourself, for yourself
• you are kind to everybody.  There maybe others who have some sadness in them so try and make their day a little more bright, let them shine with the love and kindness you give them.
• when you feel sad and want to cry, tell someone that you are sad.  telling your mama and papa that you are sad will always make you feel better.  It is okay to cry, do not let anyone else tell you otherwise
• it is important that you take instructions that your teachers give you, learn when they teach you.  Your teachers will be spending a lot of time with you, for you and they are always there for you.  Talk to them, respect them, love them, do little things to help them. Sometime they will discipline you, do as they say because it will help you always.  They may tell you to do things differently, try it.  Always talk to them and tell them how you wanted to something, maybe your way is better 
• it is yours to work hard, do your best.  It is not important to worry about how others have done for there will always be someone who will do better than you or worse than you.  Learn from those who know things better and help those who do not do as well as you do.  
• we live in a world where everone is different.  When you see someone who has a difficulty or is different from you, listen to them and learn to understand them, they need to treated like you would treat anyone else.  Everyone has a talent, remember that
• draw and paint, play, try all games and sports, participate, participate, participate, at home, in school.  Take every opportunity that comes your way and have fun doing what you do.  You will ultimately like somethings that are more dear to you than the others
• it will be good for you to keep talking to your mama and papa about what you do during the day, what plans you have, what help you need and what difficulties you are having.  Remember to take help, it is good to accept help and help others.  Share with your parents and each other your feeling.
• you will always have Veda and your cousins, young and old, to go to when you need them, talk to them tell them your secrets, enjoy with them, laugh with them.  You have each other and Arihant to count on, day to day.  
• when you get angry with each other, count to 10………atleast for now!!
