This Children’s Day, let us

This Children’s day, let us
Help them experience being happy
Give them a moment to cherish
by providing a moment of excitement

Help a child to take a new step
out of their daily grind and chore
Be it studies, be it routine
let us direct them to a new boundary

Play with a child, giggle with them
observe being in the moment
to feel the feelings that come and go
and learn to be in the moment

Claim our lost childhood
be that child that we hoped to be
carefree and silly
playful and naughty

There is an age to childhood
to play some pranks
to laugh out loud
to not worry about what we do

So this Children’s Day
Let us free the child in us
and do as we wish to do
without a worry about what others will say
